The Point to This Blog!

Each day my heart becomes more and more burdened for Christians who aren't Christians.  I know it would be a smart idea to go out into the world and speak my heart verbally, but I wanted to do something alongside that via the internet.  Am I only one of the few Christians out there concerned for the salvation of other 'Christians'?  A better term would probably be "luke-warm"  Christians;  no matter what "type" of Christian you are, we should all really contemplate these two verses:

2 Corinthians 13:5 - "Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you - unless indeed you fail the test?"

Matthew 6:24 - "No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other.  You cannot serve God and wealth."

I want this blog to primarily serve as a discussion board for "luke-warmism" and the fact that troubled or immature Christians are the ones keeping many hearts from wanting Jesus.  Answering questions, doing research, and giving guidance is something I am totally up for and feel blessed to do.  The world needs to know that genuine, heart-felt Born-Agains exist, and the world needs to know that these Christians are helping the other 'Christians' who sometimes tend to push non-believers away.

  1. HMML,
Thank you for creating this blog spot. I believe wholeheartedly true "born-agains" (your term)have a responsibility to hold Christian brothers and sisters accountable to their profession. The unfortunate side of this is that "True born-agains" fail to do this with love, gentleness, and compassion. It has been my personal experience that "born-agains" react with judgment, hatred, and pride. This is the dichotomy that creates God-haters.

  2. Just Sayin',

Completely agreed...I hope that I have not come off as harsh! Please let me know if I have because that's the last thing I want. Yes, it is the true dichotomy that causes people to dislike God. I see it so often now-a-days everywhere I go, and especially the internet. Recently, I found a facebook page that was meant to simply discuss Creationism and Evolution. Of course, people disregarded the "discussion" idea and pursued arguments instead. How are we supposed to represent ourselves as Christians if we don't follow any sort of Biblical guidelines for Christian character. I am genuinely sad for these Christians because I think they are even more lost than the average unbeliever. If they think they are saved, I think a good question to ask would be "Why did you choose Jesus?" or "Why are you saved?". What do you think?
